Meet the MC

Who are you and what is your role at MC?

My name is Lise Tynes Johnsen and I started working as an associate in Marketing Clinic Norway this January. As an associate, I get to participate in creating growth strategies for our clients by supporting the project group with analysis and presentation of insight.

What do like the best about your job?

What I love most about my job is that despite holding an entry-level position, I’ve been shown trust and given responsibility from day one. This has resulted in me being way outside of my comfort zone several times already, but always with the backing of my supportive colleagues. My impression is that every employee in our company truly sees the value in great teamwork. This, in combination with our flat company structure, has made me feel like a valued team member from the start.

What do you like to do outside of work?

I am a very social person, who loves to hang out with my friends and check out exciting new restaurants and bars. Since I just moved to Oslo in January, I naturally spend a lot of exploring my new city. At the same time, I also enjoy staying at home watching a good TV show, bake homemade cinnamon buns or zone out with an interesting book.

What’s your number 1 career tip for the younger self?

I’ve spent a lot of time worrying in my life, and as I’ve grown older, I have learned that worrying never helped anyone. Everything can be resolved, and chances are – in a few years’ time you won’t even remember half of what you’ve spent time worrying about. So, don’t worry, everything will work out in the end!
